Dr. Claire Barry

GP

Claire originally completed a biochemistry degree in Trinity College Dublin after which she undertook laboratory based cancer research for one year. She then went on to complete her medicine degree in UCD, graduating in 2010. After completing her intern year, she joined the RCSI GP training scheme during which she rotated through various hospitals and GP practices in North Dublin. Claire has a strong interest in women’s health and has completed the Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health (RCPI), the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Advanced Certificate in LARC (long acting reversible contraception) and the Menopause theory course. She is qualified to insert coils and the Implanon (bar) for contraception.

She also has an interest in paediatrics and food allergy and has completed the European Certificate in Palliative Care.
